The purpose of this project was to develop analog mark making tools and processes in my digital process when appropriate, look for opportunities to use design for the betterment of mankind, become faster in arriving at strong, conceptual solutions that communicate well, learn to translate original concepts into engaging visual form, design and layout, and learn to pair typography with images.

I began by researching possible issues that are meaningful to me, then ideating possible
messages and symbolism. Next, I worked at combining and developing those ideas into evocative compositions. After developing further, I arrived at the best concept, then worked at
refining the image and colorways to effectively and clearly convey the intended message. The majority of this project required ensuring the hashtag was clearly readable and the message was visually arresting while communicating clearly.

I believe the final solution was successful in communicating a meaningful message that addresses an important issue affecting our world today. The visuals are clean and the message is intuitive. I hope this poster can raise awareness and do some good in a world of media-fueled turmoil and disruption.
