Design a wine label system that accentuates the unique individual wines while visually and conceptually holding together well as a set.
The solutions must set this winery apart from its competition and also project a persona of high quality standards.
My research centered around getting to know the vineyard and its owner. It is homey, informal, nature and animal loving, family-owned and has grown from a humble beginning. You feel the love at this vineyard as well as the extensive knowledge-base required to create such a fine wine.
Create a set of wine labels that not only reflect the fine quality wine but the unique, nature and animal-loving vineyard where the wine is created. Establish verbiage that accentuates the unique terroir of the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia.
Each wine label celebrates an animal (wild or domesticated) that contributes to a rich and fulfilling lifestyle at Marceline Vineyards. Flowing, soft, watercolor backgrounds abstractly elude to nature with its clouds, mosses and flowing waters, while establishing color relationships with the specific wine bottled. On the back, each animal scampers across the label much as such animal roams freely at Marceline Vineyards.
