The resulting poster design uses a photo of Ohio suffragettes from 1919, supplied by the Bowling Green State Archive. Layering and transparency affects applied via Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop were create a veneer of age to the design. The image was modified to resemble a steel engraving. The layering of the photo and color shifts in color density and transparency were used to reference Dada and Rauschenberg collage paintings along with inspiration from Pop Art's insistence on using multiple images.
