I shot multiple images to have rusted metal in the background, the body of the guitar, as well as a close-up of the signature.

The Heritage Auctions Jewelry Department selects a few lots from sales to highlight on Instagram. It is up to us photographers to come up with an interesting layout to showcase the lots.
I wanted to use geometric shapes around the bracelets chosen for the shot, so I cut and taped printer paper into cones and cylinders. I then lit the paper objects in the background with gelled lights.
The client said that the image was perfect.
I was assigned to create a feature shot for a 2016 Cubs World Series Ring for Heritage Auctions' Summer Platinum Night Sports Memorabilia Catalog.
When researching the 2016 World Series, I noticed that this was the first time the Cubs had not won the World Series since 1908. After learning this I decided that I wanted to depict this as a dawn of a new era. I was able to obtain a Cubs jersey to use in the image, and decided to create a gobo sunrise behind it.
The Heritage Auction Sports Department loved the image.
