Portrait of jazz great Esther Phillips for her album: Set Me Free
Nice, happy, upbeat image was the directive.
All liked it.
Warm modern take on Jack Kerouac.
Worked very loosely from a number of photos to try and capture the essence of the man.

Widely appreciated.
Forbes mag. asked me to develop an idea about why Americans complain so much when we have it so good. The image ended up being a gatefold cover.
Submitted many idea sketches and we homed in on this one.
Very successful. Two Forbe's called to thank me: Malcolm and Steve.
Asked to do a giant 'money' foot about to crush some people I decided to take a slightly primitive approach.
With only two days to complete this painting, I was a very tired guy after turning it in.
Well received.
