Capture and celebrate the spirit of Austin for some 7,500 + attendees from around the world through the design of everything from badges, wearables, signage, way finding, the stage and keynotes.
Approach
Wanted to mesh the vibe of "The Live Music Capitol of the World" with a tech conference without coming off as inauthentic or forced. Since OpenStack hosts two summits a year at different locations around the world the idea of a touring band/bus was used throughout the design. Gig posters were designed for technical projects. A fictitious music venue was created for a live band to play before the keynotes and to play on presenters during the show.
