Create a visual for the Chuck & Terry Tannen Cardiac Rehabilitation Center's 46 foot wall. The four four-letter words of rehabilitation are panels: Love, Hope, Heal and Life and are each 5 feet by 10 feet.
The main word was drawn, then all the words pertaining to each phase surrounds it as hand lettering.
The final panels were printed in dye-sublimation and stretched over 5x10 foot frames. As patients exercise they can view.
We needed to create a logo that could be used on all covers of CBS Masterworks CDs.
The idea was to present an image that might feel like we have seen it before, classic and traditional in its design.

Design an over-sized self-promotional card that would showcase hand lettering.
I took the style of the late 1800s and created this 5-matched-color card with gold stamping and tinted varnish. It was meant to mimic the printing of the times.
It was a very successful promotion and received an award from the New York Art Director’s Club.
This is a logo for the MPCC on beautiful Monterey Peninsula with two 18-hole courses overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
The mark is representative of the club's Spanish Colonial roots. Local folklore tells countless stories of sea serpents residing just off the coastline in the deep havens of Monterey Bay.
The winged serpent is the clubs's marquee defender and protector, able to withstand the test of time. Where land meets the sea.....

This artwork is part of a series of 18 specific vintage guitars designed between 1951 and 1961 that are still sold today in the same form as when created. There is virtually nothing in industrial design with the exception of some musical instruments that has this trait.
Since most vintage guitars are quite distressed because of age the idea was to glorify their design by making them new and shiny. This was created in Illustrator as vector artwork.
The actual size prints are framed and exhibited in The National Guitar Museum, a traveling exhibit of vintage guitars. Art Director: HP Newquist
