The image was a personal image photomontage created to illustrate the duality of the creative process. Was approached by a creative director representing the company Gargill-if they can use it for an advertisement and commissioned to create a series in the same vein.
Utilize the juxtopositioning of a simple image of a glass of water upside down-yet the meniscus of the water line defying gravity in an optical illusion. Also a play on the glass half-empty or half full, generally used rhetorically to indicate that a particular situation could be a case for optimism or pessimism or a simple litnmus test to to simply determine an observers worldview.
The results were published as a series of full-page advertisements appearing in the Wall Street Journal and elsewhere.
