This is an identified poster for a united design exhibition. The idea came from issues related to young generations, such as information explosion, knowledge and the talent explosion. Explosion happens when the material has physically or chemically change, and it accompanies with the effect of shining and glowing. That is exactly our expectation for design. Except destructive explosion, it also includes various possibilities, such as small experimental, interesting explosion, by the means of energy exchanges.
The work is designed for gift paper. In terms of friendship, it means the continuous interaction between each other. And when it comes to firm friendship, it always shows the complicated emotions passed through mixed feelings of joy and grief. Our interaction influence each other, keeping adjusting ourselves, and ending up accomplishing ourselves and our best friend.
The firm friendship won’t fade away over times or places, not even mention to the faults we have. These negative factors manifest the precious friendship instead.
It is a business card designed for a freelance motion designer. The design was aimed to retain the characteristic elements created by the motion designer while trying to be representative and recognizable. As the motion designer is skillful at 3D and dynamic material mixing effects, the project was intended to be completed in a cooperative manner.
The concept of motion graphics is reduced to pixels and frames. Pixels and pixels constitute the picture, and different pictures come together to become a frame and then the dynamic state. Through the construction of geometric figures and the effect of concave and convex, the time transition in the motion image is conveyed by means of plane design.
Banana Fitness is a workout and life balance fitness studio which combines training of muscle and physical strength. By emphasize training is part of daily life, the goal is to pursue long-term mental health and ideal body posture. Banana is not only a beneficial food for bodybuilders but also representing the concept of daily life. Therefore, the founder uses a banana as part of the brand’s name.
The logo is inspired and designed from the viewpoints of barbells. Using different weights of barbells to form the shape of a banana, I develop the visual combinations to build symbols of workouts like tires and battling ropes.
During the design process of visual extensions, I mainly focus on the concept of “bulking and cutting,” which is commonly pursued by fitness athletes. I redefine the meaning as “conversion of good energy.” For “bulking,” we need to accumulate and preserve energy, and “cutting” is consuming redundant energy. Accordingly, I create patterns as shifting and transforming energy, it will construct the ideal self in our minds.
The term “lán rě(蘭若)” is retrieved from a Buddhist terminology, meaning a tranquil space, also a place for practice. The host of guesthouse expects his guests to find their inner peace by experiencing the surrounding.
As for the technique of expression, the designer uses herbs as graphic elements, also merging the concepts of emptiness and stillness as visual composition.
Participation in a visual workshop held by NTUST.
Professor Markus Weisbeck instructed us how to expand our possibility of visual design with a brand-new creation mechanical experiment, instead of under the restriction of computer software.
At first, we had to seek for a method which can and cannot be controlled to produce image. Next, we explored the possibility of the shapes and graphs, created an image and then expanded the characteristic of the image for a movie poster.
The logo evolution of the law firm is based on the core concept of contract and agreement. The rectangular elements are compared to paper contract. The English abbreviation of the rectangle is formed into a logo by splitting, and then a series of visual identification is extended. The concept of separation and combination is also carried out in this extended identification, aiming to show the subtle relationship between the disputing parties through the basic elements of the sign and the proportional relationship.
