Take one of the most tranquil scenes ever painted and turn it into a thermonuclear nightmare.
Success.
Create a movie poster that contains gruesome, fleshy typography.
Since the film was never made (and no images from it exist), I settled on making the title itself the prime element. Thus, the title had to convey as much horror as possible and hopefully suggest to the viewer that the poster is just the tip of the iceberg.
Success. A number of people thought it was a real film and wanted to know more.
Originally intended as a Today's Worst Weather cartoon, then (in original form) used as a TV bumper. This is an unpublished variation.

Using or recreating original paths in Photoshop as the underlying structure, then adding new textures, lighting and color.
Greater impact than the original. Also, this version contains no rain or snow, which a final cartoon is likely to contain.

Create an illustration depicting most of an iceberg's mass under water for an article on the R.M.S. Titanic disaster.
Divide the canvas so that three fifths is under the sea, yet keep relative proportions such that the Titanic is still recognizable as a passenger vessel. Add a tincture of inspiration from the original "Jaws" movie poster.
It got published, didn't it?
