The assignment was to create a unique pictorial trademark for a company by combining two objects through a forced visual connection making a cohesive, original, and stand-out brand.

I started with creating multiple sheets of word lists of objects, locations, professions, animals, etc. Then I started doodling in my notebook said objects, then I would thumb through my visual dictionary looking for a random fun object, like a ski mask. After numerous thumbnails and roughs, I worked on final design and colors. I choose colors from a smoked Texas brisket, and later finalized a typeface.

This logo successfully combines the chef's knife with a fun ski mask to accommodate for the quirky name of the company. The logo has been well received by its audience!
