KINTO is a brand that deals with household goods. "BONBO" is a brand of cutlery for babies and is released by KINTO. The goal is to create a package that is suitable as a souvenir and that excites both children and adults.
In the package design, the organic form of the plate is expressed with bold lines, and the size notation on the side of the plate adds boldness and childlikeness. The bottom is, surprisingly, all black. This is to express in the package the innocence, energy, and power of children, and we are prompted to think of playing outside. Inspired by outdoor play, it is expressed as a strong shadow cast by the sun.
After winning a prize in a Japanese package award, the product was exhibited at a design exhibition in Japan, and also at a package exhibition in Brazil. It has been presented in various ways, contributing greatly to the expansion of awareness. In addition, because of the actual form as well as the catchy packaging, many people buy it as a souvenir on e-commerce sites, which greatly contributes to sales. It was also decided that different cutlery from the same series would be released. This led to the second series.
