Since tents are Coleman's flagship products, we felt it best to highlight these products in an advertising campaign. The big idea we had is where Coleman can take you, as well as where you can take Coleman. First, we developed a few design concepts that were feasible, along with thumbnail sketches to push the ideas forward. After narrowing down our ideas, we began drafting rough compositions of the possible ads. Madi Grace and I then brought our big idea to life digitally, where we developed a brilliant ad campaign. The ads show a single tent in wide open nature, glowing from a source of lantern light. Above the tent is a constellation that reflects the adventure that is to come. There is a sense of connectivity between the tent and the constellation, suggesting the constellation is the dreamy anticipation of a fishing trip or kayak exploration. Finally, "Tomorrow is a Dream Away" seals the trifecta, influencing the relation of the stars and the tent. We felt this was an interesting way to display a dream in the night sky.
