To capture the hands of shoe shiners in NYC in an iconic beautiful almost sculptural way.
Approach
All hands were shot on site & in the smallest of quarters. I built a very small portable studio. All shiners had their own cloths and no two shiners wrapped their hands the same way.
Results
Kathy & Stacey were very pleased with the results of this project. The hardest part was deciding which hands to use as we shot over 50 hands.
