We were asked to design a commemorative poster for the Dallas Society of Visual Communication’s February 2016 meeting featuring Erin Sarofsky.
Our goal was to capture the spirit of motion graphics and title design that Sarofsky is most commonly known for. This was achieved by creating an abstracted interpretation of motion blur, running the type off the right edge and continuing it on the left edge. Designing the poster landscape mimics the widescreen format of television and film. To enhance the contrast of the “Sarofsky” type, the event details and title safe borders were printed with a dull strike-through varnish.
