The Marketing Awards is Canada’s premiere advertising awards show. Our goal was to increase entries to this year’s show.
Agencies are cutting back their award show budgets and increasingly entering only the work they think has the strongest chance. Yet we all know award shows are often a crapshoot. So to inspire agencies to enter more work, we focused the Call for Entry ad on the recent and highly unexpected US election outcome. The ad ran in January 2017 when the election was still top of mind.
The 2017 Marketing Awards saw 20% increase in entry revenue over the previous year.
