The assignment was to reimagine the client’s packaging. The client, CBDistillery, is a producer of CBD products that a reputation within the fitness and athletics community for offering high dosage and ‘gimmick-free’ options that allow for regular and repeated use. My goal for this project was to reposition CBDistillery from a budget option to be competitive with other lifestyle CBD brands.
While conducting research on the client, I began to grasp the reputation that CBDistillery had built themselves for providing their customers with a product line that didn’t peddle gimmicky options like CBD shampoo or candles. This relationship of trust led me to explore ways of visualizing CBD that felt more scientific and calculated rather than sensationalized. In my final solution, I utilize 3 dimensional diagrams that represent an increase in dosage with an increase of complexity. These diagrams are framed inside a system of flexible shapes that wrap around the side of the packaging and are further reflected on the product bottles.
