Columbus Zoo has intense market competition. The existing identity is only in red and white color combination. In contrast, Columbus zoo needs a characteristic organizational color. The visual identity should increase and unify the organization's color to improve the recognition and visual communication with the audience.
Approach
My design proposes a system of modular marks using various colors. Each illustration is parted into three parts, eyes, nose, and mouth. In mismatch aspects, this illustration act as a playful genre. This mixture of colors, shapes, and animal body parts creates a playful, fun, modern look of identity design. This branding and promotional collateral design recall for the audience.
Results
The Columbus Zoo rebranding project is a successful branding project according to the designing and simplicity of identity design. Furthermore, this design acknowledges internationally and approaches this design system. That was the winning point for me.
