This project was created as an illustration for the cover of The New York Times magazine. It is based on the article 'The Climate Novelist Who Transcends Despair'. The article is about the writer Lydia Millet who is the author of 'Dinosaurs' and 'A Children's Bible'.
Approach
In this piece, I focused on the deep relationship between Lydia Millet and nature. In the article, she says that birds came from dinosaurs and life comes from life. I conveyed the idea of circulation and life through shapes and colors.
Results
The shapes are creative and colors are harmonized well. The tree on the top and plants on the bottom frames the bird and the figure so that the viewers eyes can move around through the piece.
