Tarlton Properties is a San Francisco Bay Area commercial real estate firm which has developed more than 4,500,000 square feet of prime class A real estate. The company was in need of a re-brand so they hired out of the blue design (OBD). OBD was tasked with moving the brand from a family-owned business to a leader in world-class commercial real estate solutions for life science and biotechnology companies.
To create a hard-hitting brand, OBD began by shortening the name from Tarlton Properties to Tarlton. We used a modern Gibson font to illustrate the company's commitment to high-technology. The logo incorporates the letter T and is both a floor plan and a homage to the Golden mean both of which are instantly recognizable to architects and commercial real estate professionals. Since many of the life science innovators come from near-by Stanford university, we used the Stanford red as a base color and stepped it up and down two shades for optimal impact.
The client is delighted with the results. The new brand works equally well on the Internet, in all social media outlets, as well as large scale applications such as signs and building monuments.
