We believe to inspire children and adults to pursue their creative process in an online, screen dominant society. The design for Playtime Unplugged playkit celebrates imagination and the act of play through primary, bold, and expressive design and typography that distinguishes playfulness from the rest.
Using the typeface Gilbert, designer Jaz Garcia, inspired by the typeface's history, constructed her own vision of how we can interact with letters in a playful way without screens or wires. Let the creations begin! Families use Playtime Unplugged to build characters, castles, rockets, and more from the forms of the typeface
Playtime Unplugged is transparent on the conducted research for the product to be successful. Children spend an average of 4 hours per day in front of a screen. Screen time is not always bad but it needs to be managed, especially with children. Research shows high levels of screen time increases the risk of ADD, depression and anxiety in children. Our playkit promotes unplugged time to challenge children motorskills, creativity and storytelling with sorting letters through our packaging.
