I originally experimented with variations of Serifs and San Serifs, but I eventually decided that making my own letters was a stronger approach. I love the simplicity of geometric forms, especially the drastic angles of triangles. Using a simply grid system, I was able to create letterforms for “F” and “K”. Placing the letters next to each other with no kerning in between revealed a unique shape as a whole. Distinguishing each letter with red and black on a white background, a very strong color scheme I have always been a fan of, makes each letter stand out on its own.
