1888 Certified required a new identity and design of POS applications for the launch of their new business concept and flagship store in Double Bay. Coming from a long line of farmers since 1888, owners Tim White and Charlie Chrichton are dedicated to bringing the best cuts directly from the paddock to the plate. All meats are ethically and sustainably raised, grass fed, hormone free, and 100% traceable – allowing customers to find out where each juicy steak actually comes from.
We wanted the brand encapsulates the high quality and unique transparency of origin, reflected in the proposition ‘Quality Meats Origin’. The visual identity tells the story of the owner’s rich farming history, with photography and stories collected from the farmer’s family albums. Authentic, approachable and understated with a contemporary feel, it is designed to fit into its new retail context – a step up from the supermarket and main street butcher, without being too high-brow for a future roll out outside Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs
