Messages of hope and high spirit from COVD-19 Lockdown cities
2020 is an extraordinary year. The COVID-19 has swept the world and has changed people’s lifestyles and brought a considerable depression to society. Everyone has been affected to varying degrees. For safety purposes, social distance is being promoted worldwide. People’s life has changed from offline to online. I interviewed friends from all over the world and asked them to tell their experiences and ideas during the epidemic. The Internet allows us to maintain communication and contact under the epidemic. However, it also reflects the importance of face-to-face interaction between people. Through this project, I hope people can pay more attention to communication in person after the epidemic.
Students and professors at the School of Visual Arts shared their messages of hope and "normal life" during the COVID-19 outbreak. Connected by air only, they responded to my initiative from different parts of the world: New York, China, Taiwan, Korea, London, Paris, Philippines...
