This is an assignment that required us to redesign a vinyl cover without showing the musician's picture.
Approach
I chose the meaningful vinyl cover called Moon Martin sent by my last roommate. Then by listening to the soundtrack in the record, I used the comfortable gradient colour and the minimalism style typesetting to represent the rhythm and the relaxing mood of the light music.
Results
Though 8 times editing and improving, I finally to find the balance of legibility and the relaxing feeling. I like the design very much, also I think this record cover design can represent my design style. It is this project that makes me find my voice.
