To create an experimental poster using plastic typography as the primary visual element. The focus is on creating a work that embraces experimental practice and visually represents the energy of the chosen aphorism.

The 'Trash Bag' poster was inspired by graffiti and in particular the scribble in public bathrooms. I drew this type with my eyes closed in permanent marker. I created a layered look by drawing it over in different markers and white-out. I wanted it to look messy and trashy to express the temporary use of plastic in packaging. Something that is used for minutes then thrown away. Graffiti is temporary, plastic is seen as temporary but lasts forever.

The poster is used to as the primary canvas to examine Elliots Earls proposed five defining elements of 1990's Experimental Graphic Design and their relevance in 2018.
