Design a type specimen poster (or set of posters) of a selected typeface. Once you have chosen a typeface, be sure to include the name of the face, the various weights, sizes, designer, and year it was published. You may also include a short bit of information regarding the typeface or the designer.

I wanted to use Franklin Gothic in a more unexpected and unconventional way for this specimen poster. The approach of using oversized type and various opacity levels was to show the multiple uses for this face, aside from just captioning or text. I also appreciated the italic setting of this face, and wanted to highlight the angles by setting the type on those angles.

I believe this project is successful in displaying the various uses of Franklin Gothic. I hope to promote this typeface as being quite versatile and as a beautiful sans serif face.
