Fremont Bank is a local community bank in the San Francisco Bay Area, with branches from Walnut Creek to Oakland to Mountain View. Their focus on personal relationships with clients and strong history of community service have made the bank a highly respected business for nearly 60 years. In 2019, they asked Noise 13 to revitalize their brand, differentiate them in their field, and emphasize the human touches of banking with Fremont Bank. One of the deliverables was a 1-minute animated video to launch their new mobile banking app.
We knew we wanted to use the illustrations we created for Fremont Bank, and bring them to life in this mobile app explainer video. We decided to create a world within the bank’s logo, zooming in until the logo became the rolling golden hills of the East Bay, and then going on a journey to see all the things the mobile app can help you do. We kept the phone mockup centered in the frame, but always made sure there was something fun to catch your eye going on around it. We customized people, buildings and vignettes from our full bleed and spot illustrations, always showing a variety of genders, ethnicities, ages and body types.
From day to night, from a backyard barbecue to a night out with friends, we loved bringing our illustrations to life. Motion added an extra dose of whimsy, striking the perfect tonal balance for Fremont Bank.
The client was thrilled with all these new elements, and recently launched a brand new website featuring the new brand. Fremont Bank now has a cohesive look that will serve it for years to come. We’re proud to be a member of their community.
