For this project, I was tasked to create a three spread high fashion couture magazine inspired by the 1961 film, 101 Dalmatians. I was responsible for art directing, photographing, styling, and crafting this magazine.

For the narrative, of this magazine, I decided to follow the antagonist, Cruella DeVil, and her glamorous style to guide my outfits throughout the magazine. I drew inspiration from the 1996 live action film to create my style and mood board. Once I planned out her look, I spent time thrifting at secondhand stores, purchasing basic materials so I could alter them and create my own wardrobe. Throughout the spreads of my magazine, I wanted to illustrate Cruella's descent into madness. I used the color red to reflect her villainous character by slowly incorporating more into each outfit, backdrop and lighting technique.

The project had a very successful outcome highlighting Cruella's villainous character. I was even able to cast a Dalmatian named Ember to model in my photographs. I was extremely pleased with the result, as well as my model, and professor.
