The Poster design was an invitation from the Ceará Design Week to create an unpublished poster to explore the theme Design as a Social Transforming Agent for the event and an exclusive exhibition at the Museum of Industry.
THE SCREAM GAZE concept: The Scream Gaze - from the individual thinking, feeling and living - that transcends the metaphysics of the self in the social call for a collective transformation.
The individual and collective voice portrayed in the impact of the gaze on how posters, signs, banners and graffiti design of social movements and their protests generates a feeling that goes beyond the individual, illuminating possible changes in a social transformation.
It summarizes the voices, the gaze, the scream for changes in a social biased, chauvinistic and racist country with one of the highest rates of income concentration and violence in the world, claiming for changes in public health, enviramental, and education, for a better minimum wage, respect and a dignified life. The poster encompasses all of the areas of protest above, and more.
The design was done with a mixed technique of 8B pencil hand drawing on matte couché coated paper. There was an extensive research of hundreds of protest posters, signs, banners and graffiti that were vectorized, and added in a digital composition.
After the event, there was a huge demand for the purchase of the Poster. This process is still under development for the printing of a limited signed series for sale. The poster also won several design awards in Latin America, Europe and USA.
