To promote Buitenkant Advertising & Design by assuring prospective clients that we remain fully functional during these "VIRTUAL" times mandated by the COVID-19 "Stay Home / Maintain Social Distance" laws. This is especially apropos here in New York City, with its densely infected population, and closed business offices.
Considering the seriousness of this Coronavirus Pandemic, a little comic relief seems to be in order. Therefore, I’ve chosen to play with the widely used contemporary call-to-action, "Reach out to me..." ironically paired with the command "Keep your social distance" as my approach. The image of me working (and smirking) while seated with my laptop computer on the moon, exaggerates the concept of remaining "socially distant." Plus the “sticker” that says, “REMOTE DIVISION, stuck on the logo, adds to the cartoon quality of the piece.
As this promo has just recently been (virtually) distributed, it's a little soon to tell how successful it will be in bringing new business – especially since there is little to be had! However, it has received an overwhelming number of "likes" and positive responses on social media.
