Indiana Industries is a renovated industrial building housing artist studios and office spaces. The building is located in North Philadelphia on Indiana Street and resides on the railroad lines. In its previous usage, shipping and receiving occurred through a loading dock accessed via train tracks that pulled directly up to the building. This was our inspiration to use railroad ties within the logo. These ties also read as two letter i's, creating an acronym for the building's new name, Indiana Industries. Finally, a bolt can be found within the letterforms to reference both the industrial history of the building as well as the plans for the interior of the building, which will include exposed beams and bricks. The identity consists of various logo lockups for unique applications that reference makers' marks of the past.
