This is a redesign assignment for the iconic pop culture magazine PAPER.
I decided to enhance the masthead design and elevate the experience of the front cover. The original type-face looks dated and hasn’t changed for decades. By using die-cutting, the new type-face and lettering also double as window that plays on color, design, and connection to the content on the second page. From far away, one would assume it is simply a flat cover. Up close, the cover draws the reader to engage and explore the contents inside.
With this new refresh look, It can help attract more people to buy it and speak to more audiences.
