This is a collaborative student project from School of Visual Arts and Fashion Institute of Technology. It is an editorial photoshoot for young designer, Glenys Nadia, a participant of Fusion Fashion show. Nadia's designs captures the spirit of a young, modern, elegant and sophisticated woman. The concept of the shoot is centered around this idea and capturing the beauty of youth. For the designer, the passing of time makes us question the expiration of beauty. Suddenly the idea of being Young and Beautiful seems like a ticking time bomb that will soon devour. But what people cease to comprehend is the ability to achieve both eternal youth and beauty. The two can only coincide perpetually by first achieving it from within; by believing and through feelings. Essentially, everyone is young and beautiful if they are able to transcend their mindset.

The approach is to capture women’s endless youth and beauty. Set in New York City, a woman’s youth and beauty is able to surpass the hustle and bustle. A woman’s beauty is placed in her ability to keep up with the modern transformation yet remain demure, classic and true to her own style. Her power lies in her sensuality and the aptitude to lure. Behind her femininity are these strong characteristics that makes her forever young and beautiful.

A set of photographs that capture this essence, each spread is taken at different location but yet they all is still cohesive as it blends the liveliness of the city and the quiet sophistication of the dresses.
