The assignment was to create a series of U.S. Postal Service stamps that honor an aspect of American culture or group of people.
Approach
I chose to celebrate the Roaring 20s due to the immense economic, political, and social development that defined the decade.
Results
I wanted the series to be well-rounded, and highlight various symbols, movements, and achievements that occurred during the 1920s. Therefore, my stamps honor the economic and technological growth, increased use of radio broadcasting, Suffragette movement, and popularity of jazz music, which were among many notable achievements of the Roaring 20s.
