Brunch Bunch is a vibrant Brunch restaurant with an electric atmosphere in Malibu, California. Brunch Bunch was founded on the ideal that breakfast food shouldn’t be regulated to one time of day, therefore giving you all day omelettes, French toast, and waffles. Brunch Bunch caters to the kids, parents, young adults, and is even pet friendly. However, with a specific target market of young adults ages 25-40. The client Brunch Bunch, needed a design that captured its goals, but allowed for a legible, clean, and modern design.
The first part of creating Brunch Bunch was designing its central logo. The typography in this logo is a hand drawn clustered design used to highlight the community aspect that brunch bunch centers upon. The letterforms mix together and tangle upon each other. The icon is well integrated into the logotype which makes for a consistent and clean design. The all lowercase typestyle was chosen due to the shapes of the individuals letters that give the logo a frame to work within. The Brunch Bunch brand vocabulary became not only a logo, but expanded to a menu design. Utilizing complimentary typefaces, colors, and icons, Brunch Bunch became an entire brand. The hierarchy demonstrated through the typesetting in the menus displays a clear understanding and legibility for each menu item. Making this menu easy to follow. The menu has an equal distribution of space, and has properties that can be utilized on other items as well for the company. Pushing Brunch Bunch’s brand means moving towards items that can be worn to promote Brunch Bunch outside the restaurants four walls. This customized denim jacket was created using Adobe Photoshop. Brunch Bunch takes the vibrant and electric characteristics and moves into the trendy young adult market. By doing a denim jacket, the company is able to show that they are up to date with fashion and their demographic.
