Magellan Outdoors is a brand catered to the outdoor explorer in all of us. The visual identity for this packaging takes on a more vibrant approach to create visually appealing packaging that will pop. Color coding backgrounds were used to differentiate between different categories making it easier for the consumer to shop. Color coding and bold type was also used for the sleep count and temperature numbers to make this information most prominent. Through the use of color coding, organization of features and images on the left, and bold type for key information, this redesign kept the consumer in mind to make it as simple as possible for their shopping experience while having a more vibrant approach with pops of color.
The new packaging brightened up the shopping aisle and sales went up.
