Approach: This image was created after witnessing irresponsible drivers who allow pets to be unprotected in open bed trucks while driving at excessive speeds.
Photographs were created in studio using five different dog breeds. A set was created using the door of an actual pickup truck, and a steering wheel to mimic being in a truck. Each dog was placed behind the door, and with the help of an animal wrangler, coaxed into a driving position. The Bassett Hound was chosen after review of final images.
The truck, with model in truck bed, were photographed in studio on a later date.
Model head shots with "wind blown" appearance were also shot at a later date. A powerful leaf blower was used to create this affect.
The outdoor background was photographed on a country road in Mesquite Texas.
