Old Dominion Peanut Company, a hundred-year-old company, approached EBD to refresh their look. Previously, they had a gold, cream, and red brand and they wanted something more contemporary that still reflected their history.
EBD leveraged Old Dominion’s company history and crown icon to rebrand with a more contemporary color palette and typography that still maintained a feeling of tradition. We also developed a simple and clean packaging system with a typographical treatment that gave Old Dominion strong shelf presence and the ability to extend flavors, lines and categories without losing consistency.
Using key elements that spoke to their heritage, EBD refreshed Old Dominion’s brand developing a logo, color palette and unique patterns that stand out on shelves and help capture new demographics without losing the brand’s identity and loyal followers. This new design also allows Old Dominion to consistently extend through new flavor profiles and categories without being redundant.
