Part of a large new series for The Balvenie, considered "the most hand-crafted of single malts" thanks to the centuries-old craftsmanship. I was approached to bring their bottles of single malt whisky to life through a series of handcrafted layered paper sets, conveying the flavour profiles of each whisky in my graphic layered style, which were photographed by Mitch Payne adding that 'honey' glow.

The set designs were drawn up in Illustrator and then each layer cutout of sheets of coloured paper, using a variety of stocks for the various elements to add a nice range of textures. The final layers and elements were mounted onto large sheets of foamboard so they could be stood upright, with the bottles sat on a concealed handmade plinth. Photographer Mitch Payne then worked his lighting magic touch.

This is part of the first stage of the campaign which has begun rolling out across their print and online advertising, including video and behind the scenes elements. The campaign has already received wide acclaim and more is to come this year with some exciting things in store!
