The project's goal was to create a chair based on an inspirational source for the exhibition "Chairousel."

Food is a great inspiration reference for me, and so I went with my favorite one, spaghetti. My very first question was how to create a spaghetti chair that won't spoil? Then I found this white plastic cord that fits perfectly with my concept. I laced and stapled approximately 4 thousand feet of cable on this armchair I found on Craigslist. The meatball is a basketball covered with a liquid foam and lastly painted. The sauce is a mix of clear resin and ink. Unsurprisingly, my mentor had a giant metal fork gathering dust, and it was the cherry on the cake.

The finished sculptures came together on a refurbished, spinning 1960s carousel. An exhibition by the School of Visual Arts' 3D Design and Interior Design departments, the "Chairousel" was part of the Design Pavilion partnership with NYC x Design at Times Square.
