Create movie poster in the style of Saul Bass for a movie based on the book and story: Hiroshima.
Approach
Using negative space, I hid images of screaming faces within the main scene of the mushroom cloud and hands. Followed Saul Bass' style and therefore used Alfred Hitchcock as a director for this to pay homage to their close collaboration throughout their careers.
Results
Throughout the use of positive and negative space, I was able to convey a lot in a single frame regarding the events that unfolded in Hiroshima on August 6th, 1945 and shortly thereafter.
