Promotion for a series of typographic editorial illustrations created for the New York Times Economic View weekly column.
Approach
All of the articles deal with issues of taxation. So, the percent symbol represents tax rates, and is rendered and photographed in an appropriate dimensional material for the particular focus of each column.
Results
The repeating symbol became an ongoing typographic motif/identity for the series of taxation columns.
