Student was tasked with creating a new, combination mark logo for an existing museum or gallery. The logo was to be designed using a maximum of two PMS inks. Student chose the Bata Shoe Museum (BSM), a museum of footwear in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Approach
Student overlapped two shoes to imply an M shape (for 'museum'). The shoes are highly geometric, which she explained is a nod both to the institution's prominent floating staircases, and to the many unique shoes in BSM's collection.
Results
The logo delighted both fellow students and the instructor.
