Assignment
To celebrate the life and legacy of Nelson Mandela in honor of his 95th birthday.
Approach
My approach was to make a fist raised in protest out of the letters MANDELA. The hand may look like a left hand, but it's intended to be a right hand when viewed from behind, because Mr. Mandela would have been in front of the viewer, leading the way.
Results
The poster has striking colors and a impactful visual, and honors the legacy of Mandela's leadership. The poster was accepted into the exhibit and was eventually put on auction to raise funds for the Nelson Mandela Hospital Trust to build a children's hospital in Johannesburg.
