“The air is full of ideas. They constantly knock on your head. You just have to know what you want, then forget it and go about your business. The idea will come suddenly. It has always been like this.” Henry Ford, innovator, inventor, pacifist, and talented entrepreneur The theme of the “Koledy Dar” calendar was the result of a productive and thorough brainstorming session for our team. The constructive solution - as Ford promised - flashed true insight. The idea was born as if from nowhere, and at the same time there was a feeling that we had been going to it for a long time, preparing. Nothing is accidental in the calendar: colors, patterns, mood - everything is symbolic. The keynote became a rich, vibrant, unique, absolutely incredible Russian Culture. “Koledy Dar” gives each of us the opportunity to plunge into the atmosphere of Ancient Russia, to look into the life of ancestors, to open their veil - and ours - of secrets, legends, rites, traditions.
Each day of working on the calendar met us with new challenges.
The first step was to decide on the materials. What is the material for the calendar? Of course, paper.
The “Koledy Dara” concept is our brainchild, and we could not afford to approach its implementation without due thoughtfulness and sometimes even pedantry.
We developed criteria and conducted a thorough selection. Important were not only the texture, density and color scheme of the paper, but also its environmental friendliness.
That is why paper from recycled disposable cups Extract Eco by G. F. Smith has become our favorite.
When the calendar itself was ready, the question arose about packaging.
Naturally, there could be no talk of classic options. We were looking for something unusual, something that could complement our calendar, complete its image with a final touch.
Why confine yourself to a single material? Our solution is a fancy mix of textures. Hard and soft. Smooth and rough. Technology and tradition. Paper and fabric.
We packed “Koledy Dar” in linen envelopes, hand-made by us. And - the final chord - a wax seal in the best traditions of antiquity.
The calendar “Koledy Dar” was highly appreciated by experts in the field of history and literature, as it collected unique materials on ancient Russian culture. It was also noted that the concept of a calendar and printing materials selected for them are ideally combined. And our customers gladly presented our calendar to their partners as a unique New Year's gift.
