The year is 2040 and due to deteriorating climactic conditions brought on by global warming, state governments have started to tax carbon, leading to the demise of the aviation industry. Regional hyperloop networks have sprung up connecting primary and secondary cities, with transportation centers that are meant to replace airports. I am focusing on designing a transportation center in Mexican Town, Detroit and
the interior and exterior of the pod that will travel between these cities.
The Hyperloop Concept places a passenger train-known as a pod-within a pressurized tube that eliminates air resistance and sound, allowing for supersonic
transport- 700+ mph- of people and goods on the ground. A three-class interior configuration with adittional space for freight allows for the maximum utilization of
space while transporting freight and passengers in one vehicle.
