To re-brand Croatia, to be used to promote national tourism in the country. A logo, brand guidebook, packaging for the guidebook and promotional take away items were created.
Imagine drifting in a boat listening to the soft waves of the Baltic sea. Or, strolling peacefully through a local outdoor market on cobblestone streets, surrounded by the smell of fresh baked bread and sweets. You can see palatial mountains in the distance. Gothic and intricate stone architecture create a historic landscape. This is Croatia: relaxation, artisan food, and history.
Most of all, Croatia is heart.
The cultural and geographical history of Croatia is reflected in the shapes and symbols of the Croatian logo, as well as the heart and spirit of the Croatian people. The redesigned tourism logo was inspired by traditional elemental tattoos, typically drawn on Croatians’ arms and legs. The classically shaped heart resembles a famous Croatian island. The circle, branches and dots are customary in tattooed artwork.
In promoting tourism, I created a brand book and style guide. The style guide explains the logo usage, visual theme usage and color choices. The branding is depicted on a blue glass water bottle, business cards and gold necklace.
This new Croatia branding will inspire travelers to explore the exciting and mysterious country.
