In response to new trends in breakfast, snacking, customisaton and on-the-go convenience eating, Hubbard Foods Ltd created ‘Toppers’. A range of 4 innovative and versatile premium mainstream mix of nuts, seeds, grains, dried fruits and cereals.
To develop a family of 4 packs to fit within the existing Hubbards Amazing Muesli range and help define the product proposition in the crowded supermarket segment. Each mix is created with a specific consumer in mind and each pack needs to reflect the different ingredients and ‘mix styles’ in a compelling manner that fits with the existing Hubbards brand language – quirky, engaging, honest and down-to-earth. The packs also need to retain the Hubbards premium mainstream positioning, emphasise the quality ingredients and reflect the brand’s simple, natural healthy look and feel.
A range of small, take anywhere packs. The pack hierarchy links all 4 packs with the quirky, bright, earthy and textured illustration as the hero on the front faces, giving each pack its own personality and sense of fun. These also act to hightlight the ingredient promise – indulgent, healthy or energising. All faces of the packs are utilised to communicate the versatility of the range – from a diecut ‘munch’ for the window, playful illustrations on the side panels and lighthearted copy on the back. Toppers – a small artisanal, crafted range extending the Hubbards Amazing family of cereals.
