It's for an exhibition on sustainability at the University Museum and Art Gallery, HKU.
The project called for a poster to raise awareness of issues of the Anthropocene, of the impact humans have on the natural environment and the need for environmental protection in conjunction with an art exhibition at the Hong Kong University (Racing Climate Change). The poster was designed by myself with a photograph, entered here in this competition, also by myself, as the key image of the design.

I often take long walks in nature, in the beaches and woodlands around the very urban environment of Hong Kong. Through these sojourns I become more aware and tuned into nature and also to the changes that have been happening to our natural environments. I document these changes and my feelings to these changes through drawings, paintings and photography. This particular photograph was taken on one such excursion and I remember that sense of disjointedness and also it’s aptness as a metaphor for the Anthropocenic changes that we have been witness to in recent times. It was a found object in a founded moment that evoked strong thoughts and emotions about my associations with nature.

The selection process was via a poster competition. My poster design was awarded a second prize.
